Ian White is one of the English dart player who lives in Stoke-on-Trent.
White plays darts for many years already ; he's a county and super league player and can show off some success nationally. 1997 he was Phil Taylor's
opponent in the last News of the World Championship final which was won by Taylor.
White played from 2005 to 2010 in the BDO. 2009 he qualified for the Winmau World Masters. 2010 he played for the first time the BDO World Championship in Lakeside. 2010 he joined the PDC, where he had already played for a short time in 1997.
2011 he reached the final of a Pro Tour Event and took part as substitute at the Grand Slam of Darts but was eliminated after the group phase.Through the Players Championship Order of Merit he qualified for the PDC World Championship 2012 but lost at his debut fist round to Robert Thornton. Whith good performances on the Pro Tour White moved up the Order of Merit and in 2015 reached the Top 16 where he still stands today. White qualified for every PDC World Championship since 2012, the quarterfinals 2014 were so far his best results. It always looks feels more comfortable playing on the floor than playing on stage - only once in his PDC career he so far stood in a TV semi-final - in the Players Championship Finals 2019 - though he qualifies for almost all TV events.
White's interests outside of darts are fishing, Koi carps and working in the garden. He practises sometimes with Adrian Lewis.
