Cross new World Champion
In a one-sided final Rob Cross convinced again and defeated Phil Taylor in his last world championship with 7:2. Taylor showed a good performance as well - he played an 102.26 average - but Cross dominated the match from the start and even in the last set including his matchdart which he hit with the first attempt never showed any nerves. An amazing world championship debut of a deserved new world champion.
