Tokyo Bound- D-crown Pro Tour

Well it will be two weeks since I played a competive match but the next one will be very exciting!! I am sitting in the LA airport as I write this to make my first trip over to Japan to play in the D-Crown Pro tour! This is something I have wanted to do for awhile but you don't just get to show up and play these events...you need some help like I am getting from TRiNiDAD darts. It starts by setting up a TEST, yes a test. I have to prove my ability by meeting certain standards over a few different types of game plus take a written exam. Not sure what the written will hold but I am betting 24 years of playing experience the answers are somewhere in my head ;)
Should be a great time as I will get to learn more about TRiNiDAD and how they started, go see some sites and check out the legendary dart bars of Japan. It is a bit of a climate change for me as it still gets to freezing at night and not much above it during the day so I am hoping my Canadian roots kick in but I am sure I will long for the Arizona sun :). Not a long trip as I will only be there 4.5 days but long enough to get my feet wet this weekend.

I had a decent weekend at the Las Vegas open two weeks ago seeing two finals(winning one) and two semi finals and a top 8 finish. It is arguably the strongest field of the year for American darts as they hold the Cricket Nationals on the Friday so all in all it was ok. I did not throw quite as well as I had the week before in Houston but still was acceptable...just a bit softer at times then I wanted to be. I am not sure that I will play after this event for a few weeks...I get quite busy in March and April so willing to take the time off before I begin heading to Asia at least once a month for the rest of the year. I have a smaller singles event when I get home but that's it until I head to the Asia Bullshooter.

Well enough for now.. I hope to do a lot of pictures and brought my video camera to do some interviews of the top Japanese players and see what their views are of the game so look for that stuff to come...maybe this weekend even. Watch facebook for running updates if they have wifi...and do not forget to like the fan page please :)
