Aspinall wins Group 10
Despite an ankle ligament Aspinall dominated Group 10 and headed the table after his three wins.
Nathan Aspinall started with a 5:2 win over Steve Brown - who began all his three matches with a "walk-on" into his kitchen in Bristol - in the tenth night of the PDC Home Tour. The ankle ligament strain didn't hinder Aspinall to score four 180 and a 148 finish in his first Match. In the best match of the night he next defeated Ryan Joyce with the same result. He averaged 98.5 in the match and threw a 118 Finish. In the last match of the night he prevailed 5:1 over Simon Stevenson and an 85.6 average was enough against a weak playing Stevenson.
Steve Brown soon recovered from his defeat against Aspinall and won without problems his other two matches against Joyce and Stevenson. He ended the night on the second place of the table.
Ryan Joyce - who like some other players on the Tour had his dartboard set up in his sleeping room - won only his first match against Simon Stevenson. A disappointed Stevenson lost all his three matches.
Simon Whitlock, Kirk Sheperd, Alan Tabern and Mike van Duivenbode will be the players in action on Monday night in Group 11.
