Spanish Group winner Noguera
In Group 22 of the PDC Home Group we had with Jesus Noguera a Spanish surprise winner. All in all it was one of the weaker evenings of the tournament.
Jesus Noguera, who got his Tour Card via the Challenge Tour 2019, won in the first match of the night against a disappointing Ian White with 5:3. White had problems to hit the doubles and couldn't score as high as normally. His second win Noguera got in his second match against James Wilson, who played against Noguera his weakest match of the night. So Noguera was head of the table and despite a defeat against Danny Noppert in his last match he defended his place in the table.
As Noguera Danny Noppert won two of his matches. After his 5:4 win over James Wilson in his first match, the onlay match of the night in which the players averaged over 90, he won the penultimate match of the night against Noguera. He even threw a 142 finish in the match. Due to the poorer leg difference he ended on the second place of the table.
Ian White got his only win against Danny Noppert but before the last match of the night he still had a chance to win the group. He needed to win 5:3 of better against James Wilson in the last match of the night. But he lost 4:5 an Noguera was confirmed as the group winner.
In the international Group 22 German Martin Schindler, Australian Kyle Anderson, Swede Daniel Larsson and Dutchman Dirk van Duijvenbode will compete.
