The UKDA (United Kingdom Darts Association) was founded in 2020 when it was clear that the BDO had no chance to survive. It should as successor of the BDO ensure a solid and before anything else financial secure organisation for grass root darts in the UK and give amateurs darts a functioning foundation and provide it a way into the future .
The UKDA is a non-profit organisation. All gaining will be returned into the organisation. It is a corporation, the shareholders are the counties and nations who can purchase shares and with it votes.
The organisation is operated by the directors, chairman is Jonny Stefano about whom not much is known only that he plays or played darts.

Beside the UKDA has a Management Team and a Support Team.
In the Management Team we find beside the Regional Directors among others Morgan Barrell as Marketing Director. Barrell was the founder of the UKDA who before organised Darts events in Wales.
In the Support Team we find referees, event supporters, administrators of the NL (National League), an IT Manager and as MC Paul Booth a former radio DJ and Exhibition MC, the former MC of the League of Legends and the successor of Richard Ashdown in the BDO. Beside in darts Booth is MC in boxing events as well.
The UKDA already had a lot of partners. The main sponsor is Darts Corner. Darts Corner is the sponsor of the National League as well.
The UKDA National League replaces the BDO British County Championships and it wil be played for the first time in the season 2021/2022. The details are not known yet, but should the Corona pandemic allow it it will start in September 2021.
The principal office of the UKDA is located in Orpington, an urban district of London.
