Irina Armstrong was born in Russia and came to Germany to visit school. She started to play darts when she was pregnant with her first child in 2001. At this time her English husband John owned a bar in Holland where one could play darts and she tried it herself.
Very soon she started to win tournaments and till this time she somehow with help of her husband manages to coordinate Darts and children. She is not travelling to a lot of British Open tournaments or tournaments all over the world but on the European continent she played and won quite a lot of tournaments by now. 2010 she for the first time took part in the BDO Ladies World Championship. 2011 she was back and this time she reached the semi-finals. Though she retuenrd in 2013, 2014 and 2015 that was her best result so far.
Irina is member of the Russian national team.
