For some years already Jyhan Artut is one of the top players in Germany.
His biggest success till now in the DDV/WDF was reaching the final of the German Gold Cup in 2003 which he lost to Austrian Mensur Suljovic.

From the beginning Artut played the PDC Europe (former GDC) events. He won the very first PDC Europe German Championship in 2009, his greatest success till now as he usually didn't get much farther then the third round in the PDC/PDC Europe events. By the win of the German Championship Artut had qualified for the PDC World Championship 2010. He won first round against the totally out of form Wayne Mardle but lost second round against Robert Thorton. He again qualified in 2011 and 2012 and in 2012 almost caused a sensation when in his first round match Gary Anderson couldn't defeat him till a final sudden death leg. In June 2010 Artut was the first German player ever to qualify for the UK Open finals in Bolton.

Since 2013 Artut plays the complete PDC Pro Tour. He qualified for most of the European Tour events of the PDC and for the UK Open 2013 and 2014. From the first PDC World Cup Artut is part of Team Germany.
