Lisa Ashton plays darts since 1999. From 2007 to 2020 she played on the BDO/WDF Circuit. She could celebrate her
first success in the same year when she defeated German Heike Ernst in the Winmau World Masters and
progressed to the last 16. The following year she feared even better and stood in the semi-finals while
in 2011 she won the tournament. Many more tournament wins followed - Ashton dominates in the following years women's darts.
In 2009 she for the first time qualified for the BDO Women World Championship but lost her first match
against Trina Gulliver. In 2013 she for the second time played the World Championship and lost in a
rather close final against Anastasia Dobromyslova. In the following year she for the first time won the title which she defended in 2015.
2017 and 2018 she won the title again. In 2020 ashton reached the final but lost to Mikuru Suzuki.
2018 Ashton played the first UK Women's Qualifier for the PDC World Championship and won it. But she lost her First Round match to
Jan Dekker. She is invited to take part in the Grand Slam 2019 but doesn't survive the group phase. As in 2019 - when she just missed out a tour card - Ashton takes part again in the PDC
Qualifying School 2020 and as the first woman ever got a tour card. Ashton was not really successful so far on the Pro Tour but she qualified again by the UK Women's Qualifier for the PDC World Championship.
Ashton is a computer operator by profession. Her daughter Danielle plays darts as well.
