Belgian Andy Baetens started to play in BDO/WDF tournaments in 2010. 2014 he stood in the semi-finals of the East Flanders Open. 2016 he won his first tournament, the Czech Open. 2017 was his so far best year - Baetens won the Romanian Classic, the Antwerp Masters and the England Masters. By this he qualified for the BDO World Championship 2018 where he lost in the quarterfinals to Scott Waites.
2019 and 2020 Baetens took part in the PDC Qualifying School without success. Beside you didn't hear much from Baetens in those two years though he reached the quarterfinals of the Dutch Open 2020. 2021 He was back and won both the Catalonia Open and the Czech Open. He will enter the WDF World Championship 2022 as the number 7 seed.
