Young Englishman Owen Bates can be found since 2022 on the PDC Challenge Tour and the Development Tour and reached two Challenge Tour and one Development Tour final. He stood in the quarterfinals of the Latvian Open in the same year. 2023 he tried to get a Tour Card in Qualifying School but failed and continued to play on the Challenge Tour. He stood three times in a final and won one of the events. Beside he moved up several times in Pro Tour events. End of the season he stood in second place of the Challenge Tour ranking and by this won a two years Tour Card and a place in the PDC World Championship 2023/24.
