Stowe Buntz took part in the US Open 2007 and the US Open and the North American Darts Championship 2008. After that he disappeared from international events. In 2023 he reappeared , stood in the semi-finals of the Virginia Beach Classics and played the Pro Tour of the Championship Darts Cooperation where he won three events in a row.
As the winner of the North American Championship 2023 Jeff Smith was not entitled as a Tour Card holder to qualify by this for the PDC World Championship 2023/24 and the Grand Slam 2023 Buntz got the two berths as winner of the CDC Cup and highest ranked player in the CDC ranking not yet qualified for the PDC World Championship. Buntz impressed in the Grand Slam - not only with his colourful outfits but because he defeated both Peter Wright and Stephen Bunting in the Group phase and Andrew Gilding among the Last 16 before Bunting managed to stop him in the quarterfinals.
