Stephen Burton plays darts since 2007 and joined the PDC in 2014. In 2017 he took part in Qualifying School and got a Tour Card. Till now he was not really successful on the tour till he reached the Last 16 of the Players Championship finals 2018. Nevertheless it came as a surprise when he qualified by the Tour Card Holder Qualifier for the PDC World Championship 2028/2019. At his debut he lost in the first Round to Ryan Searle. He lost his Tour Card end of 2018 and played some time on the Challenge Tour. 2023 he won back the Tour Card but lost it again end of 2025. For a second time he regained it - this time immediately - in January 2026.
