Canadian Matt Campbell played mostly locally before he joined the CDC Circuit 2018. He already won several tournaments on the circuit and as best placed Canadian player in the ranking qualified for the PDC World Championship 2020 where he lost to Mark McGeeney at his debut. 2020 Campbell together with Jeff Smith was the surprise Canadian Team in the PDC World Cup which reached the quarterfinals. As due to the Corona pandemic 2020 the CDC Circuit was limited Matt Campbell will be back at the PDC World Championship 2021. This time he will compete against Scott Waites.
