Gabriel Clemens - who started to play darts in 2001 - played till 2017 on the BDO/WDF Circuit. His biggest success was the semi-final of the Winmau World Masters in 2017. He was the first ever German player who managed this.
In January 2018 he took part in the PDC Qualifying School and got a Tour Card. Since this time he plays the Pro Tour with some ups and downs. While he was not able to qualify for many European Tour events and till now didn't survive the second round in those events he managed to take part he was much more successful on the Pro Tour and as the first German player ever stood on a Players Championship final. By the Pro Tour Order of Merit he qualified for the PDC World Championship and won at his debut against Aden Kirk. 2019 he reached the last 32 of the UK Open, stood in the final of the German Darts Masters, an event of the PDC World Series of Darts, reached the Last 16 of the Grand Slam and again qualified for the PDC World Championship but lost first round to Benito van de Pas. Despite the Corona pandemic 2020 was quite a successful year for Clemens, he reached the Last 16 of the UK Open, the Second Round of the World Grand Prix and the World Matchplay and together with Max Hopp the semi-finals of the PDC World Cup of Darts. Clemens played himself as the very first German player in the Fourth Round of a PDC World Championship in 2021.
