Australian Damon Heta - a roofer by profession - started to play darts in 2007 and plays mainly the DPA Tour. 2011 he won the WDF Pacific Masters, his first big success. 2014 he won his first DPA tournament, the Australian Singles, and for the first time qualified for a World Series event of the PDC. 2019 was Heta's most successful year so far - he qualified for all three World Series events in Australia and New Zealand and won with the Brisbane Darts Masters one of them. Beside he won in 2019 his first DFA Australian Open Darts. As first of the DPA Ranking he gave his Alexandra Palace debut during the PDC World Championship 2020 and won his first round match against Jose de Sousa.
Heta entered Qualifying School 2020 and got a Tour Card. Despite all the problems due to the Corona pandemie it was quite a seccessful first year on the Pro Tour for Heta. He qualified for several European Tour events, won one event of the PDC Autumn Series, reached the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam of Darts and the Players Championship Finals and together with Simon Whitlock as Team Australia the same result in the PDC World Cup of Darts. So he had no problem at all to qualify by the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit for the PDC World Championship 2021 and lost first round to American Danny Baggish. By now Heta has moved to England and has settled among the Top 32 of the PDC
