Jake Jones first played BDO/WDT tournaments and won in 2020 the Trent Vale Open and in 2011 the Eastbourne Open and the Torremolinos Open. Beside he stood 2011 in the final of the Youth World Masters and the WDF Europe Cup Youth. In 2011 he started as well to play on the PDC Development Tour. He continued on the Development Tour the following year and several times stood in the Last 16. 2013 he switched to the Challenge Tour but without success and returned to the Development Tour in 2014, where he reached his first final. 2015 he played both the Development Tour and the Challenge Tour but again was without success on the Challenge Tour. So he concentrated 2016 and 2017 again on the Development Tour and reached 2017 he second final. The following two years he took a break before he reappeared in the UK Qualifiyng School 2020. But he couldn't get a Tour card and again played on the Challenge Tour. 2021 Jones returned to the Qualifying School and this time won one of the direct Tour Cards.
