Michael Mansell played from 2006 - 2010 on the BDO circuit but played the PDC Players Championships in Ireland as well. 2010 he reached the semi-finals of one of those Players Championships and one week later won the Tom Kirby Memorial Trophy By this win he qualified for the PDC World Championship 2011. Despite losing in the Preliminary Round to Preston Ridd from New Zealand he decided to switch to the PDC. He took part in Qualifying School 2011 and got himself a Tour Card.
Since then he plays the PDC Circuit. He qualified several times for the UK Open and reached 2013 and 2019 the Last 32. Together with Brendan Dolan he represented four times Northern Ireland in the PDC World Cup. 2013, 2015, 2019 and 2020 he took part in the PDC World Championship. Mansell qualified for several European Tour Events. End of 2016 he lost his Tour Card but got it back in Qualifying School 2017. 2018 Mansell finally won a Players Championship - so far his biggest success.
