Irishman William O'Connor plays PDC Circuit since 2010. He immediately qualified for the UK Open and played himself into fourth round where he was
defeated by James Wade. 2011 and 2012 he qualified for the World Grand Prix in Dublin but both times lost first round.
Together with Mick McGowan he was twice the Irish team for the PDC Worldcup and both times lost second round against the Australian Team. From 2013 - 2015 Connie Finnan was his World Cup partner, 2016 to 2018 it was Mick McGowan. In 2019 O'Connor got another new partner - Steve Lennon - and Team Ireland reached the final where it lost to Team Scotland.
In all his yeasr on the PDC Cicuit O'connor never really broke through but only once had to take part in Qualifiyng Tour to get back his Tour Card. Till 2018 his form curve is bound upwards - he reached the final of an European Tour for the first time and won his first Players Championship. He played quite good in the PDC World Championship 2020 but lost aclose second round match to Gerwyn Price due to miscalculation. In the UK Open helost an as close Last 32 match to Daryl Gurney as he couldn't hit with his matchdarts. O'Connor was nominated as Challenger for the Premier League Night 2020 in Dublin. He lost the match 4:7 to Michael van Gerwen.
