Welshman Robert Owen took part in the PDC Qualifying School for the first time in 2014 but lost his Tour
Card after two years and had to return to Qualifying School. With a Tour Card back on the Circuit he had
two more not really successful years though he reached the quarterfinal of the Dutch Darts Master 2017.
But he again lost his Tour Card only to win it back in Qualifying School 2018. Out of nowhere he reached
in March the semi-finals of the UK Open. But this was his only success and he once again lost his Tour
Card and this time was not able to win it back immediately.
So he played the next years on the PDC
Challenge Tour and since 2022 plays there with success so that he managed to qualify by the Challenge
Tour Order of Merit for the PDC World Championship 2022/23 and got as well back his Tour Card.
Owen won the EDO England Classic 2022.
