Rusty-Jake Rodriguez is the youngest of the three darts playing Rodriguez brothers and he started to play
darts as a child. 2013 he for the first time took part in a major event, the Europe WDF Europe Cup Youth.
2015 he won the youth event of the Austrian Open and reached the final of the WDF Youth World Cup. He was
a rather successful youth player the following year as well. 2017 he for the first time took part in the
PDC Qualifying School but couldn't get a Tour Card. So he played on the PDC Development Tour where he won
one event and qualified for his first European Tour event. Together with Thomas Langer he won the pairs
title of the WDF Europe Cup Youth and celebrated at the end of the year the win of the JDC Youth World
Championship.
2021 he again tried without success to get a Tour Card and again played on the Development Tour and this
time on the Challenge Tour as well. Beside he often moved up in Players Championships. Rodriguez dominated
the European part of the in this year in an European and an UK part divided Development Tour and ended at
the end of the season at the head of the European Development Tour Order of Merit.
By this he won
a two years Tour Card and qualified for the Grand Slam of Darts but didn't survive the group phase. Due
to his good results on the Pro Tour he qualified as well for both the Players Championship Finals and the
PDC World Championship 2022.
