Austrian Hannes Schnier started his career as soft-darts player and won in 2001 the European Championship. Steel Dart he first played on the BDO/WDF Circuit. 2006 he won the
Austrian Championship. In the same year he played without success the qualifier for the PDC World Championship. From 2007 Schnier played the tournaments of the new founded
German Darts Championship and a few PDC Players Championships. While he had no success on the PDC Pro Tour he won in 2008 one event of the GDC and reached the final of another
and by this qualified for the European Championship and the PDC World Championship 2009 but both times lost his first match.
So Schnier decided to play mainly soft darts again before he in 2018 for the first time tried his luck in the PDC Qualifying School. He returned in 2019 and 2020 but failed
to get a Tour Card. Schnier qualified for a few European Tour events but concentrated on WDF tournaments. 2023 he won the Balaton Masters and the Balaton Darts Classic and
stood in the final of the Slovenia Open. 2024 he won the Latilelek Darts Classic and the Slovenia Open. When Alan Morrison withdrew from the WDF World Championship 2024 Schnier
moved in and will give his debut.
