Englishman John Scott at the moment plays WDF events but was from 2004 - 2016 a PDC player. During
his time in the PDC Scott several times qualified for the UK Open and twice for an event of the PDC
European Tour. 2014 Scott lost his Tour Card and was not able to win it back. So he played the next
two years on the Challenge Tour and qualified 2016 by the Riley's Qualifiers for the UK Open where
he lost his first match to Dean Winstanley. 2017 Scott left the PDC and instead played on the BDO
Circuit where he reached in 2018 at the Romanian Classic his first semi-final. In the same year he
again qualified by the Rileys Qualifiers for the UK Open and this time was eliminated second round.
2019 Scott celebrated his first tournament wins - he won both the Estonia Open and the Estonia
Masters and qualified for the World Masters. Scott moved up the rankings and for a short time even
was the WDF number two. The Corona pandemic interrupted Scott's career and he couldn't qualify for
the WDF World Championship 2022. When the Russian players were disinvited due to the Russian-Ukraine
War, Scott moved up in the field of participants. He lost first round to Johnny Haines.
