Adam Smith-Neale started to play darts in the PDC in 2011. In 2012 he got himself a Tour Card and played both the PDC Development Tour and the Pro Tour as well. He won an event on the Development Tour but stayed without success on the Pro Tour and had to give back his Tour Card. Smith-Neale took part several times in the Qualifying School (2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017) but failed every time. So he played in the following years on the Development Tour and on the Challenge Tour. after he again couldn't win a Tour Card in 2018 he decided to play on the BDO Circuit, qualified for the World Masters and caused an upset when he won the tournament. By this he was qualified for the Grand Slam of Darts and the BDO World Championship 2019. He didn't survive the group stage of the Grand Slam. A short time after the event he broke his leg, played the BDO World Championship on crutches, but lost his Preliminary Round match. 2019 he reached the later events of several WDF Open events, won the French Open, but lost in the last 32 of the BDO World Champions. By the Riley's Amateur Qualifiers he qualified for the UK Open 2010 where he lost second round.
