Alex Spellman plays darts since 2014 but only appeared internationally when he won the Washington Area Open and the White Mountain Shootout in 2022. He started to play on the CDC Circuit in 2022 as well and won the CDC Continental Cup and by this qualified for the US Darts Masters 2023. In January 2023 he took part without success in the PDC Qualifiying School. He played a few Challenge Tour events reaching a semi-final and moved up twice in a Pro Tour event but it didn't really happen for him. Back in the USA he won three events of the CDC Tour by which he qualified for the PDC World Championship 2023/24. Beside he won the Charlotte Open and the Seacoast Open and reached the semi-finals of the North American Championship.
Spellman works as a darts coach as well.
