Alan Tabern played two years darts for the county Lancashire and then joined the PDC. He plays darts for around 23 years. In the PDC he could win a few Pro Tour events. He reached several quarterfinals of Major tournaments and once the semifinals of the UK Open. Till 2010 he played consitently on a hight level but than started to slide down the rankings though he qualified from time to time for European Tour events. 2013 he had to give back his Tour Card nad failed to win it back. So he played 2014 on the Challenge Tour and was so successful that he got the Tour Card back by the Challenge Tour Order of Merit. But 2017 he was back in Qualifying School - and failed again. He returned 2018 with more luck and even managed to qualify for the PDC World Championship 2019. He lost his Tour Card again end of 2019 but this time immediately won it back in Qualifying School 2020.
Little is known about him but he seems to be a soccer fan and plays domino.
