Jonny Tata comes from a darts playing family - his father Ra was a national champion. Jonny started to play darts when he was nine years old
and won several national youth titles. He took a break when he was seventeen and only Covid brought him back into the sport. Tata won in 2022
both the John Wilkie Memorial and the North Island Men und stood 2023 in the final of the Ted Clements Memorial and the Canterbury Open. By
this he qualified for the WDF World Championship 2023. Beside he played in the PDC NZ Darts Masters 2023 where he defeated Peter Wright to
reach the quarterfinals.
