When he was 16 years of age the young Dutchman won the youth title of the Denmark Masters. As soon as he
was old enough he started do play on the PDC Development Tour but stayed without success. 2020 he took
part in the PDC Qualifying School for the first time but couldn't get a Tour Card. He improved on the
Development Tour but his second attempt in qualifying School was a failed attempt again. Van Veen now
played both - Development and Challenge Tour and on both won 2022 one event. Beside he reached a final on
the Pro Tour as replacement. 2023 he again took part in the Qualifying School and this time got his Tour
Card. Since then van Veen could celebrate three wins on the Development Tour 2023 stood in the semi-finals of the European Championship. When van Veen reached the quarterfinals of
the European Darts Open 24 he moved into the Top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit
and no longer entitled to play on the Development Tour. His best run van Veen played so far in the Grand Slam of Darts 2024, where he impressed with in the groupphase with a new
record average before he was defeated in the quarterfinals by Gary Anderson.
