Young Belgian Dimitri van den Bergh started his career on the BDO Circuit which he played till in 2013 he won the British Teenage Open. Only two months later he won his first PDC Youth Tour event. 2014 van der Bergh took part in the PDC Qualifying School but didn't manage to win a Tour Card. Beside playing PDC Youth Tour he takes part in the qualifiers for the European Tour events and qualified for the first tournament in 2014. He won two Youth Tour events in the same year. In 2015 he again won two events of the Development Tour, reached the last 16 of a Players Championship, qualified for several European Tour Events and was invited to play in the World Series of Darts Finals. Van den Berg qualified by the Pro Tour Order of Merit for the PDC World Championship 2016 and reached the second round at his debut. In 2016 he qualified for every European Tour Event.
In 2017 van der Bergh for the first time won the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship and defended the title in 2018. He was the first player who managed this in the history of the tournament. Van den Bergh for the first time stood the quarterfinals of the PDC World Championship and of the Grand Slam of Darts after he had thrown a nine-darter against Stephen Bunting in his last 16 match. In 2019 he reached his first Pro Tour final and qualified for the first time for the UK Open. In 2020 van den Bergh reached the quarterfinals of the World Championship again and stood in the quarterfinals of the UK Open for the first time. In July 2020 van den Bergh won his first PDC Major - the World Matchplay. He reached the semi-finals of the Grand Slam in the same year where he lost to James Wade. 2023 van den Bergh stood in the semi-finals of the PDC World Championship. 2024 was van den Berghs so far best year - he won the UK Open and reached the semi-finals of the Masters, the PDC World Cup and the World Grand Prix.
