Chinese Di Zhuang - who plays both soft-darts and steel-darts - took 2016 for the first time part in the Chinese qualifier for the PDC World Championship but lost in the quarterfinals. In the following year he lost in the semi-finals.2020 he managed to qualify for the PDC World Cup but due to some administrative problems the Chinese team had to withdraw from the event one day before it started. Due to the Corona pandemic there was no PDC Asia Tour in 2020 but it was possible to organise a Chinese qualifier for the PDC World Championship 2021 and this time Di Zhuang managed to win it. He lost at his debut in the First Round against Kim Huybrechts.
