Well day one is in the book for the Asia Bullshooter presented by the ADA. The machines used this year are the brillant Phoenix machines vbersus the typical Arachnaid boards. There are brighter and have much bigger screens to see what is going with being extremely easy to use. I really like the going online and being able to play other players based on their ratings.
Now on to the darts..... I did get my new darts from TRiNiDAD and they are better then expected!!!! I wanted a more aggressive grip and I got it!!! There is no slipping with these darts. I was handed them 5 mins before my first match and I used them straight away. This year they are doing a round robin in to knockout so was a good time to see how they would do...
Well I came out flying shooting a 6.1 for the first match with the darts and just love how they feel in my hand. I won my sheet and moved on the the knockout rounds winning my first 2 matches fairly easily then I ran in to felloe TRiNiNDAD player Benny Dersch. My day ended ther in a hard fought battle but Benny was just smacking the 9 marks like crazy so it was a well deserved win for him. Benny went on to lose to another TRiNiDAD player Yanamar from Japan in the semi finals. The eventual champion was my partner Ray "the Razor" Carver, he did what he does all too often and raised the level of the game to the point where Yanamar could not hang with the level. Was a exciting match but Ray powered himself to the Champions circle. Ray jokingly said that we had to thanks the deadly Lawerance Ilagan (from the Philippines) for not being here this weekend since in the past years he has stopped both of us in the fianls lol.
Today see TEAM USA in action this morning followed by the Top Gun Singles this afternoon. We will play DI/DO 501 and cricket medely this year which is a change from the interesting Hammer Cricket game...glad to see the change. The last event of the day is DI/DO freeze rule doubles and that should begin about 530 local time so hoping for a great run today in single and the doubles with Ray.
