Steve Douglas plays the BDO circuit since 1995 and was a successful youth player. In 1995 he won the WDF Europe Cup youth. 2000 he qualified for the first time for the BDO World Championship. He had to wait till 2010 before he managed it the second time. As he had some success on the circuit he returned to Lakeside 2011 and 2012.
