Glen Durrant started to play darts in 1999 and made his first appearance in the Winmau World Masters 2004 where he lost early to Dietmar Burger. In 2005 he lost in the last 16 against Martin Adams. Though Durrant is a BDO player he three times qualified for the UK Open. In his second year 2009 he lost in the last 64 to Terry Jenkins. In 2012 he won one of the Riley's qualifiers and was drawn against Stephen Bunting who defeated him.
In 2011 he again played the Winmau World Masters an this time reached the quarterfinals. 2012 followed his biggest success so far when he won the EDO English Classics - his biggest success so far. He retained the title 2013.
In 2014 Durrant for the first time managed to qualify for the BDO World Championship but lost second round to Alan Norris. He dominated the BDO Circuit 2015 and 2016 and finally in 2017 won his first World Championship. He defended the title in 2018 and 2019. After the BDO World Championship 2019 Durrant took part in the PDC Qualifiying School and won by the Qualifiying School Order of Merit a Tour Card.
Durrant worked as an estate manager for coast and country housing.
