Matt Smith is a in 1967 in Liverpool born English television moderator and at the moment the leading sports presenter on ITV.
Smith studied politics and modern languages. After university he first worked for Associated Press in Rom and later as television producer for the Financial Times.
He then switched to BBC News and worked for Radio 5 live. From BBC News he moved on to BBC Sport and commentated between others from the Olympics in Sidney.
In 2000 Smith left the BBC and started to work for ITV Sport Channel were he mainly commentates soccer. Beside this he's the responsible presenter for darts on ITV.
