Scotsman Alan Soutar started to play on the BDO Circuit in 2007. Twice - 2022 and 2016 - he qualified for the BDO World Championship but both times lost his first match. 2016 and 2017 he stood in the Last 16 of the World Masters. 2013 he reached the quarterfinals of the WDF World Cup and in 2018 the semi-finals of the WDF Europe Cup. Beside he won several BDO/WDF open events - the last one were the Helvetia Open in 2019.
After the end of the BDO Soutar took part in Qualifying School 2021 and got a Tour Card by the ranking.
