PDC Championship - Semifinals
Both semi-finals ended with the same result - Peter Wright and Michael van Gerwen progressed with 6:3 wins over Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall into the World Championship final. After a one day break the final will be played on 1. January 2020. All in all it was not a gripping semi-finals night and the Alexandra Palace crowd was not electrified. Gerwyn Price played disappointing and Michael van Gerwen looked jaded. He only threw three 180s in the match, scored poor in patches and was not too clinical on his doubles even though Nathan Aspinall was often not able to use his chances. Peter Wright showed with a 98.39 average the best performance of the night but his double hitting rate leaves room for improvement as well.

Van Gerwen wins in Amsterdam
At the end of an interesting day of darts stood a completely one sided final in which Michael van Gerwen defeated Danny Noppert with 11:2 and won the title.
In the afternoon session we could see three close matches which were won by Mensur Suljovic, Dave Chisnall and - surprisingly - Danny Noppert. Dave Chisnall had prevailed with 10:8 over Raymond van Barneveld. Michael van Gerwen won his last eight match with 10:6 against Jonny Clayton and afterwards demolished Mensur Suljovic in the semi-finals with 11:4 while the second semi-final between Dave Chisnall and Danny Noppert was a highly compatitive match. Might be that was the reason Noppert had no chance at all to keep up with van Gerwen in the final.

Hughes wins Czech Darts Open
With 8:3 win over a seemingly tired Stephen Bunting Jamie Hughes secured in Prague his first PDC Title. By this he astonishingly managed to grab a place in the World Matchplay which was only possible by winning the event. Hughes showed a very consistent tournament performance and defeated on the final day besides Bunting Ron Meulenkamp, Ian White and Simon Whitlock. It didn't look the high temperatures on stage did affect him much opposed to other players who obviously had to struggle. With Bunting and Hughes two unseeded players reached the final of the inaugural Czech Open Darts.
Besides Hughes Keegan Brown as well at the last minute snaged a place in the World Matchplay by reaching the semi-finals.
